Talking About Your Day
Put useful verbs in order to describe a normal day.

Start in the morning
La mattina lavoro.
In the morning I work.
La mattina introduces what you normally do in the morning. You can leave out io.

Add lunch
A pranzo mangio a casa.
At lunchtime I eat at home.
Mangiare gives mangio for I. A mezzogiorno is at noon; a pranzo is at lunchtime / for lunch.

Move to the afternoon
Il pomeriggio vado in centro.
In the afternoon I go into town.
Il pomeriggio works like la mattina. Add where you go to make the description concrete.

Doing things
Faccio la spesa.
FAT-choh lah SPEH-zah
I do the grocery shopping.
Faccio una pausa.
I take a break.
Fare is irregular: io faccio, tu fai, lui / lei fa. Learn faccio with an activity.

Coming home
La sera torno a casa.
In the evening I come home.
Tornare means to return. A casa means home here, without an article.

Resting
Dopo cena mi riposo.
After dinner I rest.
Riposarsi uses a small word that changes with the person. For yourself, say mi riposo; the fuller pattern comes in Italian 103.

Connect the steps
Lavoro, poi mangio.
I work, then I eat.
Dopo pranzo torno al lavoro.
After lunch I go back to work.
Poi means then. Dopo + a noun means after that thing; dopo can also stand alone when the context is clear.
